AgencyPoint Director - Peter Sobecki
Peter is a native of the Chicago area and graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. Peter has a well rounded 20+ year in the insurance industry. He started at Farmers, beginning in Personal Lines Underwriting. He held management positions in Commercial Policy Services, Commercial Underwriting, Commercial Claims and Field Operations. He has worked in several positions within each business unit including six years as a Division Marketing Manager. Most recently he held the position of Personal Lines Zone Manager for the Eastern Zone before taking on the Director role at the Chicago AgencyPoint. As Director he is responsible for the top and bottom line results of each business unit within the AgencyPoint operation. In his career he has earned the professional designation of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter as well as the series 6, 63, and 26 licenses. He is a member of NAIFA, the CPCU Society and the Farmers Employee/Agent Political Action Committee as well as being actively involved with the March of Dimes.
In his free time he enjoys reading, working out, traveling and spending time with his family.
Mike Herodes, Sales Manager
Mike is a graduate of Illinois State University and has been with Farmers Insurance for 23 years. While at Farmers, Mike has served in a number of capacities from Underwriting, Product Development, Pricing and Marketing. Mike enjoys working with individuals new to Insurance and is committed to helping them find success.
Linda Herodes, Commercial Wholesaler
Linda Herodes trains and motivates new agents in writing Business Insurance. Linda
is a Wisconsin native and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Linda
has over 20 years experience with business insurance sales with Farmers Insurance
and she believes that the Farmers agent has the best small business opportunity.
Pauline Black, Executive Assistant
Pauline is a Wisconsin native with over 25 years experience working with Farmers Insurance Agents beginning in the Claims Office, then the State Office, and presently in Milwaukee AgencyPoint. Pauline is happy to be part of this new innovative approach designed for Agent success in this small business opportunity.
Lynn Blazek, PBX Receptionist
Lynn has maintained her Southeast Wisconsin residence her whole life and has resided the last 20 years in Delafield. She attended college in Waukesha and Milwaukee studying Electronics and Automated Manufacturing Technology. Lynn has spent 12 1/2 years in the banking industry and a total of 16+ years providing Customer Service. As a Farmers Team member, Lynn understands the importance of communication among customers, coworkers and other businesses. As a result, she continuously strives to effectively assist in every contact.
Brian P. Maguire
Brian was raised in the quiet Chicago suburb of Wheaton, IL. After graduating from Loras College in Dubuque, IA, Brian moved to Milwaukee to pursue his Masters degree in communication. He succeeded in his search for knowledge, graduating from Marquette University in 2009 with an MA in Communications before joining Farmers. Brian spent 3 years as an advertising account executive working in both print and radio. Brian enjoys guiding candidates through the process of becoming a Farmers agent.
Darren Bohmann
Darren was born and raised here in the Franklin, Hales Corners area. He attended college at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan where he received a B.S. in Media Production and New Technology. After college, Darren spent three years working as a newscast director for WJFW NBC 12 in Rhinelander, WI and KGBT 4 in Harlingen, TX. In 2006 he decided to change careers and moved back to Milwaukee to work for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Darren joined the Farmers team in February of 2012 as a recruiter, and he has enjoyed every minute. He really enjoys working at Farmers, and is really driven to grow with the company.
Derrick Canada
Derrick is originally from East Orange, New Jersey and has lived in the Milwaukee area since 2000. He graduated from Iona with a degree in Finance. Derrick played basketball in college and continued his playing career professionally after college. He spent thirteen years in the event production/coordination industry focusing on program execution for a number of high profile clients. He originally came to Farmers as an agent and took on the role of recruiter in March 2012. Derrick plans to use the same drive and determination that allowed him to excel in athletics to achieve excellence as part of the Farmers family.
Sean Suelflohn
Sean was born and raised in Green Bay, WI and is (naturally) a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan. Sean joined the Farmers family in May of 2012 and has over two years of previous Recruiting experience from his former employer, Pinstripe Inc. He is looking forward to bringing in top-tier talent into the agent program, as well as assisting those agents in becoming successful business owners. Sean received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 2006. He majored in Strategic Communication with a minor in Advertising and Business Technology. Sean has lived in Milwaukee for the last six years and currently resides in the downtown area. Sean enjoys spending time with his family and friends, attending Packer and Brewer games, playing sports, and traveling.
Melissa Schmitt
Melissa grew up in Slinger, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin Platteville. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Human Resources. Melissa came to Farmers with a background in training, interviewing, management and higher education. She enjoys having an active part in building agents’ success and meeting new candidates on a daily basis. Melissa currently resides in Grafton, Wisconsin with her fiancé, Ryan, and their puppy Penny.
Lindsay Hale, Customer Service Representative
Lindsay is originally from Mayville, WI and currently resides in Milwaukee, WI. Lindsay graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Health Sciences with an emphasis in Kinesiology-Health and Fitness Management. Lindsay is responsible for getting all agents licensed and state certified in addition to being a Customer Service Representative. She is truthfully exited to be part of the Farmers family and contribute to the success of our agents.
Lorna Blazek, Customer Service Representative
Lorna was born and raised in Delafield, Wisconsin where she currently lives. Lorna attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication. While in college, Lorna worked at a local worldwide printing company in Human Resources and upon graduating came to Farmers Insurance. Lorna enjoys meeting potential candidates and working with agents on a regular basis.
Meghan Fitzgerald, Customer Service Representative
Meghan grew up in Chicago, Illinois and currently lives in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Meghan attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and received a Bachelor's degree in Educational Studies. During college she worked with children with Autism and after graduating college enjoyed working as a Preschool Teacher. Meghan is looking forward to a new direction in her career and the opportunity to help agents succeed at Farmers Insurance.
